A historic building. A new chapter. A community building futures together.
On September 23, 2026, Foundation Academies welcomed scholars, families, educators, partners, and community members to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of our new Foundation Academy Collegiate campus at 525 Adeline Street in Trenton, New Jersey.
The celebration marked an important milestone for our K–12 public charter school community. With our three-campus model fully operational, Foundation Academies now offers dedicated elementary, middle, and high school campuses—creating new opportunities at every stage of our scholars’ educational journey.
A New Chapter for Foundation Academies
Once the long-abandoned Horsman Doll Factory, the property has been transformed into a vibrant high school campus that honors Trenton’s history while making room for its future.
The new Foundation Academy Collegiate campus brings expanded opportunities for academics, the arts, and athletics under one roof. STEM-ready classrooms, specialty labs, dedicated performing arts spaces, and a full gymnasium give our scholars room to learn, discover their talents, and pursue their goals.
We are grateful to INTECH Construction, Farewell Architects, and 22Beacon for helping bring this vision to life, and to the supporters and partners whose commitment helped make this milestone possible.
Our Scholars at the Center
Throughout the evening, our scholars showed guests what makes Foundation Academies special.
Our scholar speaker shared their voice with confidence. Our high school Glee Club filled the celebration with beautiful music. Our scholar tour guides welcomed visitors with pride and maturity, offering a firsthand look at their new learning environment.
Teachers opened their classrooms, sharing the caliber of teaching and learning our scholars deserve. Leaders from all three schools stood together as one Foundation Academies community.
As guests explored the campus, we heard the same reactions:
“This is beautiful.”
“Your scholars are incredible.”
“You all are doing great work.”
What our guests experienced that evening reflects the work our FA community does every day: building relationships, nurturing talent, and helping young people recognize what is possible.
Three Campuses. One FA Community.
Across our elementary, middle, and Collegiate campuses, our scholars are connected by a shared mission: to equip them to excel in learning and empower them to lead purpose-filled lives.
Our core values of Love, Accountability, Support, and Trust guide that work—from a scholar’s first day of kindergarten to the moment they cross the graduation stage.
As CEO Sheria McRae shared during the celebration, this new campus represents something much bigger than classrooms and hallways.
We are choosing possibility over limitation.
We are creating spaces where young people feel a sense of belonging, discover what they are capable of, and prepare for their futures.
Thank you to our scholars, families, educators, staff, supporters, and community partners for helping bring this new chapter to life. Your belief in our mission makes moments like this possible.
This moment belonged to all of us. Together, we’re building futures.
