Join Us for a Trenton Tradition: Our Annual 100 Man Welcome
Every year, Foundation Academies marks the 100th day of school with one of our most powerful and uplifting traditions — the 100 Man Welcome. Rooted in pride, purpose, and community, this event has become a true Trenton tradition, reminding our scholars that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by people who believe in their future.
On Monday, February 2, 2026, we invite our community to show up and show out for our scholars by lining our school entrances with cheers, fist bumps, high-fives, and encouragement as students arrive for the day. While the moment itself is brief, the message it sends lasts far beyond the morning.
“This is a great way to show children that our community values their hard work in the classroom. To see positive role models, caring men from our community celebrating education, motivates our scholars to stay focused and finish the school year strong.”
— Sheria McRae, CEO, Foundation Academies
What began as a call for 100 men to welcome our scholars has grown into something even bigger. This year, we’re expanding the invitation to include any community member or family member who wants to stand in support of our students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Parents, grandparents, mentors, alumni, neighbors, and friends — if you believe in our scholars, this moment is for you.
The morning will begin with a 100 Man Pep Rally at 7:00 a.m., followed by our Welcome Parade. The event takes place at both Foundation Academies campuses:
Grades K–8: 363 West State Street, Trenton
Grades 9–12: 22 Grand Street, Trenton
Each year, the energy is unforgettable. Scholars arrive smiling, dancing, and soaking in the encouragement, carrying that excitement into their classrooms throughout the day.
Registration is required, and all participants must bring a valid ID.
