The Arts Are Alive at Foundation Academies

Three campuses. A shared commitment to creativity, expression, and possibility.

With Foundation Academies’ three-campus model fully operational, a new chapter is unfolding across our school community. Dedicated elementary, middle, and high school campuses give our scholars spaces to learn, grow, and discover who they are—and the Arts are part of that journey at every stage.

Across all three campuses, passionate educators are creating opportunities for scholars to find their voices, develop their talents, and experience the joy of creating together. Through music, dance, and theater, our Scholar-Artists are building confidence, strengthening relationships, and learning to express themselves with authenticity.

FA Elementary: First Notes. First Steps.

At FA Elementary, our youngest Scholar-Artists are building the foundations for a lifetime of creativity and expression.

General Music with Mr. Schuetz and Ms. Garcia introduces scholars to opportunities to explore sound, find their rhythm, and develop their musical voices. Dance with Mr. Young invites them to discover movement as another way to communicate, create, and express themselves.

These early experiences help scholars practice listening, collaboration, and discipline while discovering the joy of trying something new. With encouragement from their educators and classmates, they begin to build the confidence to share their ideas and celebrate what they can accomplish together.

FA Middle: Finding Their Rhythm

At FA Middle, scholars continue that creative journey through Jazz Dance with Coach Moore, Band with Ms. Summiel, and Strings with Mr. Bello.

As they explore these performing arts disciplines, our scholars develop their skills and discover how their individual contributions help shape a shared performance. Learning a movement or practicing a musical passage takes patience, focus, and a willingness to keep growing. Creating together also asks scholars to listen closely, support one another, and take responsibility for their part.

Guided by educators who bring passion and purpose to their teaching, our FA Middle Scholar-Artists are finding their rhythm—and gaining confidence in what they have to offer.

FA Collegiate: Taking Center Stage

At FA Collegiate, scholars have opportunities to deepen their craft through Theater I–IV with Director Simone, Orchestra I–IV with Mrs. Christian, and Chorus I–IV with Mrs. Ferguson.

These comprehensive offerings give our high school Scholar-Artists room to explore their creativity while developing respect, discipline, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. Each class session and rehearsal offers an opportunity to strengthen their skills, respond to feedback, and bring something uniquely their own to the work.

With educators whose passion for the arts extends inside and outside the classroom, scholars are learning to take center stage with confidence—right where they belong.

Growing Through the Arts

Across Foundation Academies, performing arts bring our core values of Love, Accountability, Support, and Trust to life. Scholars practice accountability by preparing and showing up for their peers. They build trust as they learn to create together. They experience love and support when an educator encourages another attempt or a classmate celebrates their progress.

From the first notes at FA Elementary to the rehearsals at FA Collegiate, these experiences are part of how we equip scholars to excel in learning and empower them to lead purpose-filled lives.

The arts are alive at Foundation Academies—and our Scholar-Artists have so much to share.

Stay tuned for upcoming public performances and opportunities to celebrate our Scholar-Artists across all three campuses.
