Foundation Academies Community Day of Impact: Showing Up for Trenton

Foundation Academies began the 2026–27 school year by stepping beyond our school walls and into the Trenton community for an afternoon of service, connection, and impact.

During the second half of our annual Community Day, nearly 200 FA team members worked alongside local organizations at service sites throughout the city. Together, our team:

  • Organized donations at Children’s Futures

  • Supported community feeding efforts with New Generation Pentecostal Church

  • Served alongside The Salvation Army

  • Assembled and distributed hygiene bags with I Am Unique

  • Shared crafts and entertainment with residents of Belle Care Nursing Home

  • Provided organizational support at Interfaith Tabernacle

  • Supported a baby and maternity resource giveaway with Doulas Empowering Community

  • Hosted a game day at Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation

  • Delivered beds with Sleep in Heavenly Peace

  • Beautified Trenton neighborhoods with Isles and Fathers and Men United for a Better Trenton, using supplies provided by the City of Trenton

  • Supported a community grocery giveaway with Austin Edwards

  • Hosted FA Culture Corners at Cooper Pool, Father Rocco Pool, Martin Luther King Jr. Pool, and Roberto Clemente Pool

  • Walked Trenton neighborhoods, visited local businesses, and built new relationships as FA School Community Ambassadors

  • Partnered with the Trenton Community Street Team for a neighborhood cleanup along Montgomery and Academy Streets

Thank you to every community partner who welcomed our team and gave us the opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute. We also extend a special thank you to FA Community Engagement Specialist Aisha Williams, whose vision, leadership, and tremendous coordination made this powerful day of service possible.

There could be no better way to begin a new chapter in Foundation Academies history than by showing up for Trenton—together. This is community. This is Love, Accountability, Support, and Trust in action. This is how we build futures.
