Trenton’s Children Need Action
Next year, 1,500 new students - a 12% increase - will enter the underperforming public school system.
With a 9x higher math proficiency rate, and a 4x higher reading proficiency rate than the local public school average, Foundation Academies has a duty to respond by making room to serve more of Trenton’s children.
Our Projected Growth
Foundation Academies plans to boost its total student enrollment by more than 80% by the year 2029, and our growth is already well underway. Last year we added 168 seats to Kindergarten and Second Grade.
With an existing waitlist of 900 students, Foundation Academies has developed a plan to expand.

Our ‘Building Futures’ Fund
In 2027, Foundation Academies will celebrate its 20th Anniversary. Help us build toward that momentous milestone so that we can kick off our next 20 years with the strength and purpose that has carried us this far.
We are excited to launch the Foundation Academies Building Futures Fund, an initiative aimed at building capacity around this critical moment in our school’s history.

We Will Grow :
1. The number of students we serve
2. Our enriched learning offerings
3. The number and quality of our facilities
With the significant growth of our student body, Foundation Academies will be building a new FA Collegiate High School campus in downtown Trenton. Opening its doors in Fall of 2026, this facility boasts a 60,000 square footage improvement over our current high school building.

FA Collegiate Library, Coming Fall 2026
The new FA Collegiate Campus will be a state-of-the-art facility offering:
A multi-use library
A turf field
Fully equipped STEM labs
A Makerspace with brand new machinery
A weight room and movement studio
A music room with instrument storage, climate control and acoustic design elements
A gymnasium
A stage with lights, curtains, extensions and a space for a pit orchestra
A College & Career Center
An art room
As we move our Collegiate students into this beautiful new building, we will provide updates to our existing two campuses to properly meet the requirements of a fully equipped elementary campus and an optimized middle school.

The Impact of Your Investment
As a NJ charter school, Foundation Academies receives $4,000 less per student than a traditional school. Through the Friends of Foundation Academies board, we fundraise for many of the incredible opportunities and services that make an FA education unique.
Within the walls of our three beautiful facilities, Foundation Academies will continue delivering innovative educational services to our students through expanded, enriched learning environments that focus on whole-student development.

Did you know?
We go above and beyond for our scholars. To achieve all of the above, we must constantly develop the skills of our faculty, remove barriers like food and clothing insecurity for scholars, invest in student wellness and behavioral health, provide support to scholars’ families, and solidify community partnerships.
Whether naming our library, underwriting our afterschool programs, sponsoring our track team, or making a contribution to provide school uniforms for scholars, your financial support makes you an integral part of the FAmily - we cannot do this without you.
